DECATUR, Ill (WAND) - There has been some mumbling about this rare planetary parade through the rest of the month.

Many may try to trick you into believing you can see Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus through the end of the month, but it comes with a few complications.

First off, any given night will depend on the weather and the cloud cover. Luckily, there is plenty of clear nights for this opportunity.

However, the complications arise when you look at the details of each planet.

Mercury will be difficult to see because it'll appear near the horizon. Due to earth's shape being a geoid or rounded (not flat), Mercury might become obscure due to the curavature of earth.

In additon to that, Uranus and Neptune will be too dim to see with the naked eye, therefore a good telescope will be required to see them.

If you happen to have a great location and a telescope, I would suggest planning for August 23rd. It will be a new moon that night leaving a darker sky, in hopes to make spotting the planets easier.
