DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Strong winds and field work are cause for concern on Tuesday.

After a gorgeous Monday, and it will be a similar setup for Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will warm up quickly with strong winds out of the southwest, around 30 to 35 mph. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon. This is more of a Summer feel with above-average temperatures.

Blowing dust is a concern with the strong wind gusts. There is a Blowing Dust Advisory in place until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. If you find yourself in a low-visibility situation, make sure to pull over and turn off the car engine. Sit in place until the dust clears.

Storm chances will increase through the evening as a cold front starts to approach the region. Most of the rain will be light and scattered, but a few storms could produce a half-inch of rain. Temperatures will be mild in the 50s overnight.

Temperatures will be cooler through the rest of the work week. Thursday is looking beautiful with a similar feel to what we had on Monday, with highs in the low 70s. Rain chances will return for the end of the week.
