DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! It’s another very cold morning across Central Illinois with wind chills in the negative teens to start the day. Temperatures will climb into the upper teens by the afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Feels-like temperatures will get above 0 by the afternoon and should stay in the single digits through the evening.
There is very little changing over the next several days, with temperatures being the big story. Highs will be a bit cooler in the mid-teens from Wednesday through Friday with more cloud cover for the back half of the week. Overnight lows will continue to be well below freezing, with wind-chill values in the negatives.
The weekend will be slightly warmer as high temperatures climb into the low 20s, but overnight lows will be around 0 or below until Sunday morning. Our next weather maker isn’t expected to impact us until Sunday night into Monday morning when some snow chances move into the region. It looks like very light accumulation, but the weather team will monitor snow chances through the weekend.
