DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A cool down is settling in across Central Illinois for a few days before we warm up again.
A cold front will bring some scattered showers this morning before skies start clearing out this afternoon.
While highs over the next three days will around 70° or the low-70s, that's still slightly above average for early October.Â
Overnight lows will drop to around 40° Wednesday night and Thursday night. Some upper-30s are possible!
An isolated shower can't be ruled out Friday, but, overall, dry conditons continue with the drought worsening.
Temperatures warm back into the low-to-mid-80s by the weekend into early next week.
