One man was found shot to death Monday morning in Springfield, and now police are investigating it as a homicide. 

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - One man was found shot to death Monday morning in Springfield, and now police are investigating it as a homicide. 

The Springfield Police Department responded to a reported shooting shortly before 6 a.m. along the 1200 block of East Kansas Street. 

SPD arrived and found a man dead after apparently being shot. 

The Sangamon County Coroner later identified the victim as 54-year-old Sean Campbell. 

Springfield police stated that a man was identified as a suspect and arrested on unrelated charges. 

This investigation is still ongoing.
