Gusty winds and sunshine to end the week

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Friday! We’re back to chilly temperatures and sunshine behind yesterday’s cold front.

As high pressure settles in, gusty winds continue this morning before gradually calming down throughout the day. The breezy conditions will leave highs in the upper 20s feeling more like teens and low 20s today. Tonight, we dip into the mid to low 20s under clear skies, but southerly flow ahead of this weekend’s system will allow for temperatures to warm up overnight.

Tomorrow will briefly be in the upper 40s before cooler air returns behind the cold front for Sunday. However, dry air in place will leave us rain free and sunny by tomorrow afternoon.
