DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The thermometer hasn't read 90 degrees since September. That may be changing soon. Â
Initially, the higher dose of humidity headed our way won't be oppressive. That means FeelsLike temps may peak in the upper 80s instead of 90, but it'll be awfully close this weekend and early next week. The weather will certainly make you sweat! Â
Thunderstorms will also be on the prowl, so if you're outdoors, have a Plan B in case you get caught underneath one of those angry storms. The rain from these storms is also a contributing factor in the evaporative cooling process. So, the more storms we get, the less likely it will reach 90 degrees. Fair trade? You make the call.Â
