DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Our trend of warmer than average temperatures begins today.
Strong southerly flow sets up as a few nearby disturbances roll through with more clouds throughout the midday and afternoon. Even with limited sunshine, we’ll still warm into the upper 40s this afternoon, with low only in the low 40s under cloudy skies.
Even warmer air is filtered into the region as we head into the holidays. Temperatures will be 20 to 30 degrees above average, and Christmas day will most likely set a record high. If you’re a fan of the warmer air, the good news is the unseasonably warm pattern lasts into the new year.Â
