DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Another cold, dry night grips the region. However, that's about to change.Â
Change typically brings a change in pressure, which leads to gusty winds. This change will be no different. Despite a tranquil night ahead, gusty winds will begin to develop as daybreak approaches Tuesday. While most gusts will be in the 30 mph neighborhood, there can be a peak gust near 40 mph. At least this change in pressure is accompanied by the return of milder weather. Sure, the wind will temper Tuesday afternoon's warmth, but 40s and 50s will return this week. Â
A stumbling block in the return to milder weather will be a dose of light frozen precipitation for some Wednesday night into Thursday morning.Â
Stay safe out there, and stay weather-aware. Â
