Police arrest - handcuffs (C) (copy)

Three people were arrested following a bank robbery in Springfield over the weekend. 

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A Chicago man was arrested and charged with home invasion and attempted murder in Champaign. 

Champaign police said they were called to the 1600 block of W. Bradley Ave. at 12:39 p.m. on Feb. 17 for a report of a stabbing. 

Officers found a person with multiple injuries. The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. 

Police said a woman came home and found a family member seriously injured and in distress in the presence of 26-year-old Jaylen King of Chicago. 

King ran away, stealing the woman's vehicle to leave, police said. 

He was caught a short time later by Illinois State Police on Interstate 57 near Clifton. 

King was arrested on charged of attempted murder, home invasion, and traffic citations from ISP.
