Golden Fox Brewing 10th anniversary

Golden Fox Brewing is celebrating a decade of craft beer in Central Illinois with a three-day anniversary festival later this month.

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Golden Fox Brewing is celebrating a decade of craft beer in Central Illinois with a three-day anniversary festival later this month.

The celebration will run from Friday, Aug. 28 through Sunday, Aug. 30 at the brewery's taproom, located at 3025 Kandy Lane in Decatur. The weekend-long event will feature live music, outdoor games, local food trucks, and a special lineup of craft beers.

Among the featured pours is the brewery's flagship "Furious Fox" American Imperial Stout, which won a gold medal at the 2024 World Beer Cup. The champion stout was brewed by former owner Andrew Boyd and current owner and head brewer Brandon Shanks.

Golden Fox Brewing was originally founded in Illiopolis in September 2016 as a production and distribution business. The brewery relocated to Decatur's old AIW Union Hall in December 2018 before moving to its current Kandy Lane home—the former Old Aloha Restaurant—in February 2025.

"Reaching this ten-year milestone is a testament to the hard work of our entire team—past and present—and the incredible, unwavering support from the Decatur and Central Illinois community," the ownership team said in a statement. "This weekend is a giant thank you to everyone who helped us get here."

The Rolling Stoners food truck will be on-site Friday and Saturday, followed by Bistro Five Thirty Seven To Go on Sunday.
