DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Decatur Public Schools has officially selected Nicole Nash Moody as its new superintendent.
The DPS Board of Education formally voted on Moody's appointment during its Tuesday evening meeting.Â
"It is not about me or my career at all. It's about our children, our staff and our city who have a hope and expectation that our school district leadership will collaboratively join forces to continue on the path of creating and enhancing a safe, supportive and healthy learning and working environment," Moody said.Â
Nash Moody will replace current superintendent Rochelle Clark, who announced her retirement in October 2024.
