Decatur hit and run crash 2/24/26

A woman was seriously hurt after being hit by a vehicle in Decatur early Tuesday morning.

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A woman was seriously hurt after being hit by a vehicle in Decatur early Tuesday morning. 

Decatur police were called to Oakland Ave. and Eldorado Ave. at 2:21 a.m. 

Officers said a 2013 Dodge Durango was going east on Eldorado when it hit a pedestrian, a 62-year-old Decatur woman. 

Police said the Durango then fled the scene. 

The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The suspect vehicle was found by DPD.
