DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Hope you got a chance to spend plenty of time outdoors this weekend with comfortable highs in the low-to-mid-70s and lows in the 40s and 50s.
A warming trend gets underway today that'll last through the end of the week with summer heat returning to Central Illinois.
It'll be sunny today with light winds and highs in the upper-70s with lows in the 40s.
Tomorrow will be a few degrees warmer with more afternoon clouds. While we'll likely remain dry, a few sprinkles can't be ruled out in the afternoon in our western hometowns.
Hot weather returns Wednesday through the weekend with highs in the upper-80s to the low-90s. It'll become a little more humid during that period, but not at the levels we saw for much of the summer.
Rain chances are slim, but there may be a few weekend showers and storms.Â
