Pleasant fall-like conditions return

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Hump day! We are halfway through the week, and finally back to a more seasonable and fall-like weather pattern. However, unseasonably warm temperatures are on the way.

Today, high pressure is in control leaving us sunny throughout the morning and afternoon. We remain breezy, giving us nice, fall-like conditions when paired with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Tonight, a few clouds build in, but they'll be brief and will clear overnight into early Thursday. For any lingering Northern Lights enthusiasts, it will be a bit more difficult to spot the auroras as they shift farther north and clouds build in. Early evening will be your best bet for some views.

The next few days will see a warm up under mainly dry conditions. Rain chances are slim to none for the area throughout the weekend, but better chances return next week.
