Seasonably cool weekend ahead

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday! This weekend will be seasonable, but above average temperatures are on the way for next week.

Today will be seasonably chilly with highs in the mid 30s. Clouds will clear out throughout the morning and sunshine will be the story for the rest of the afternoon. By tonight, we dip into the low 20s between passing clouds late tonight and overnight.

While we wake up with sunshine tomorrow morning, clouds will gradually build back in throughout the day. Temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and lows will stay in the upper 20s, which will kickstart a trend of increasing temperatures into the week.

We’ll hang on to mainly dry conditions and passing clouds this week, and instead, the main story will be unseasonably warm temperatures in the mid to low 50s. Our next chance for meaningful rain will be Thursday into Friday.
