(WAND WEATHER) - Shed not a threat 'til April is dead. Ever heard that old proverb when you were growing up? Despite only March winding down, Spring is notoriously a wild ride when it comes to weather.
In a 7 day forecast, the weather can swing from one end of the spectrum to the other. This forecast is no different. Fresh cold air behind Sunday's severe weather gives way to a frost and light freeze on this Monday night; a problem if you have tender vegetation outdoors.
The kids may not want a jacket on the way to school Tuesday morning, but it will be cold enough for one.
Then there's the idea of additional severe weather. Warm, moist air from the Gulf Coast will collide with another western cold front. The end result could be another wave of severe storms, and that will include tornadic storms.
How the atmosphere behaves after early Wednesday morning wet weather, or lack thereof, will tell the tale of how much coverage of severe weather will be had later in the day. Stay safe out there.
