DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A rather comfortable summer day is expected across Central Illinois before it turns hot, humid, and stormy this weekend.
While rain chances today are not zero, we'll see a sun and cloud mix with highs well into the 80s with only a slight chance of showers.
A few showers and storms may develop overnight, but showers and storms are likely Saturday.
Some of the storms Saturday may become strong to severe. Damaging winds will be the biggest threat, along with heavy rain. Some large hail is also possible.
More showers and storms are in the forecast Sunday into early next week.
By the middle of next week, another heat wave is likely.
