Sunshine for sunday, rain returns this week

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Sunday! Sunshine continues today, but temperatures are on the decline behind yesterday’s cold front.

Today, we’re dipping into the mid 50s for the high. We’ll feel a bit chilly as the breeze picks up thanks to high pressure rolling through, but we’ll pair these conditions with plenty of sunshine under the high.

Tonight, skies remain mostly clear and winds calm down a bit. Radiational cooling will help to bring lows into the low 30s overnight.

Our next weathermaker arrives late tomorrow night. Ahead of this, clouds will build in and winds will pick back up. Rain arrives as light, widely scattered showers, and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible overnight.
