SULLIVAN, Ill. (WAND) — A central Illinois charity organization presented a $7,500 grant Wednesday to Sullivan Middle School to support the school's transformation of their library and media center.

According to the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, the library area had to be converted into temporary classrooms a few years ago during school construction. Now that construction is complete, the foundation said the school has developed a plan to remove the temporary walls put up and re-imagine the area into a welcoming and engaging space where students can gather, explore, read, learn and connect.
