CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend has revealed the 2024 finisher medals.
The medals for the marathon, half marathon, 10K, and relay events feature a hinge design, which reveals another design under the primary medal face.
The theme of the weekend, “REUNITED,” is highlighted on the medal face.
When the hinges on the front of the medal open and close, the word REUNITED splits apart and then reconnects.
Christie Clinic said the design symbolizes the theme as it opens to show a group of runners on the second level of the medal and then brings together the word “REUNITED” when closed.

Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend will take place from April 25-27. The races are mapped across Champaign-Urbana, through downtown streets, tree-lined residential neighborhoods and paved park trails.
