Crank up the heat and spice things up at Flannel Fest's Hot Pepper Eating Contest

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Get ready to turn up the heat, and maybe have a glass of milk nearby.

Spice things up at the Flannel Fest Hot Pepper Eating Contest at 1 p.m. Saturday on the Main Stage at West Side Park.

Those interested must register by Thursday, Oct. 23, and registration is available here.

Additionally, Flannel Fest will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and feature lumberjack shows, pumpkin smashing (NOT the Smashing Pumpkins), a mustache contest, local food vendors and more. Among the food vendors are Burrito King, Jurassic Grille, The Main Scoop, Patty Daddies and Bennetts.
