Faith in Action (EnerStar grant)

PARIS, Ill. (WAND) - EnerStar Electric Cooperative announced Tuesday that it was awarded a 2025 CoBank Sharing Success matching grant totaling up to $30,000.

The co-op shared that this year's recipients are Faith in Action, the Paris Girls Softball Association, the Paris Park Board and the Marshall Area Soccer Kids. 

"EnerStar, as a not-for-profit electric cooperative, is guided by seven cooperative principles, which include 'Cooperation among Cooperatives' and 'Concern for Community.' We are very proud to be a part of this program and to witness fellow non-profits thriving with the financial assistance the grant offers," said EnerStar CEO Angela Griffin.

Nonprofit CoBank helps provide financial services to various agribusiness and rural electricity, water and communication providers nationwide, along with supporting "charitable organizations" in respective communities. 

EnerStar said that it has secured money for grants totaling $215,000 since 2012, and uses the grant to support important causes and organizations in the community.
