DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - WAND's annual 'Spirit of Giving' will return to Decatur on Dec. 5.
The annual event, now in its 16th year, will collect toys and monetary donations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the Decatur and Macon County Toys for Tots program.
Anyone can drop off new, unwrapped toys out front of the WAND studios located at 904 W. South Side Drive in Decatur.
Last year, more than 7,800 toys were donated. Since the event started, it has collected more than 84,000 toys for children of central Illinois.

The success of the program comes from individual donations, businesses, area organizations, and fire and police departments. Some companies offer incentives for employees who donate.
Toys and monetary donations will be collected on the day of the event. But Toys for Tots collects donations throughout the holiday season in various locations.
