SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The City of Springfield has announced warming center locations for the upcoming winter months.
The following locations will serve as warming stations during regular business hours, helping Central Illinois residents find relief from cold and inclement weather.
Municipal Center East
- Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; 800 E. Monroe
Municipal Center West
- Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; 300 S. Seventh Street
Lincoln Library
- Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday (October to April); 326 S. Seventh
Office of Community Relations
- Open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday; 1450 Groth Street
Helping Hands
- Warming center open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 2200 Shale St.
Salvation Army
- Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday; 1600 Clearlake Avenue
Washington Street Mission
- Day services open from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday to Friday, open 12:30-3 p.m. Tuesday, 8-10 a.m. (breakfast), closed Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year's Eve; 408 N. 4th Street
St. John's Breadline
- Open from 8-9 a.m. (breakfast) and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (lunch), from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; 430 N. 5th Street
