Free training on trauma-informed care being offered at Decatur Memorial Hospital

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Free training on trauma-informed care is being offered at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

The training is for people who work in community-based organizations, healthcare or education, working closely with people in vulnerable populations.

The training is being offered in partnership with Heritage Behavioral Health Center in person on Monday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Classroom A.

Attendees will learn about trauma's impact, compassionate responses, and the importance of self-care.

Continuing education credits are available.
