DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Golden Fox Brewing in Decatur was awarded a Gold in the 2024 World Beer Cup.
The World Beer Cup award ceremony took place on April 24 at The Venetian in Las Vegas where awards were given in 110 beer-style categories.
Golden Fox Brewing was awarded a Gold award in the American – Style Imperial Stout beer style category for its Furious Fox, a black in color ale with aromas and flavors of coffee, dark fruit, plum, prunes, fig molasses, oak chocolate, light roast.
Golden Fox Brewing is a 3-bbl microbrewery that specializes in traditional beer styles from around the world.
“Owner/Brewer Andrew Boyd continues to strive for perfection in every beer he creates,” said Jim Fox, Owner at Golden Fox Brewing.
World Beer Cup winners were selected by an international panel of 280 beer judges from 37 countries. There were a total of 9,300 entries from 2,060 breweries and 50 total countries.
The Brewers Association developed the World Beer Cup Competition in 1996.
