DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Preparations are underway for the annual Hardy's Race for the Lake this weekend.
The races will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Nelson Park and Lake Decatur.
The Decatur Park District said that spectators can livestream event coverage through NowDecatur.com.
Lakeshore Drive from Lost Bridge Road to Cantrell Street into Nelson Park will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. Friday through 5 a.m. on Monday.
Spectators can park on Lake Shore Drive and the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater for $10, and $25 for limited preferred parking.
Motorists must enter from the intersection of Lost Bridge Road/16th Street and Lake Shore Drive. There will also be a tram shuttle transporting people to Nelson Park.
No overnight parking is allowed.
