(WAND) - Fighting food insecurity while helping local families in need.
HSHS Home Care will have its annual Cram the Car food drive, where community members can donate canned food items at two locations.
The first donation event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at HSHS Good Shepherd in Shelbyville. Items donated will go to the First United Methodist food pantry.
The second event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at HSHS St. Mary's in Decatur, with donations going to Catholic Charities.
Suggested donation items include boxed meals, cereal, granola, pasta sauce, jelly, pancake mix and syrup, canned vegetables and large boxes of oatmeal.
