HSHS St. Mary's names new Chief Administrative Officer

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur has named a new Chief Administrative Director.

Dr. Timothy Layman, DNP, MBA-HC, MSN, RN, NE-BC, has been named CAO, a new role at HSHS that provides on-site, localized leadership overseeing nursing, operations and all other organizational functions of the hospital.

“In my first weeks in Decatur, I have already been blessed to meet so many great people here at St. Mary’s,” Layman said. “I look forward to embracing the community as well as enhancing outreach and public health.”

Layman is a board-certified nurse executive. He most recently served in the HCA Healthcare Capital Division as Chief Nursing Officer at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
