DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — After over 7 years in business, The ArtFarm will be closing its doors in May.

The gallery's last day will be Saturday, May 31, owner Peggy Baity announced on Facebook. She cited "tumultuous economic times" and her "constant craving for change" as reasons for the closure.

The downtown Decatur business has been open since January of 2018. They showcase a variety of pieces from local artists.

"My mission from the outset was to curate an inclusive experience, to make art accessible and fun, to build up and showcase the incredible talent in our area, and that was accomplished ten-fold," Baity wrote.

The business did mention a closing party, though no date has been announced yet.
