SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Animal Protective League is calling it the "Cutest Show on Earth."
APL's Kitten Circus is coming up at the end of this month. The organization says this is one of the best times of year to adopt a kitten, with 92 currently up for adoption.
Held in conjunction with the 10th annual Clear the Shelters campaign, APL’s Kitten Circus will take place from Friday, August 30th through Sunday, September 1st at two locations:
APL Shelter, 1001 Taintor Road, Springfield, IL. Daily from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
PetSmart, 3183 S Veterans Pkwy, Springfield Saturday, August 31st, and Sunday, September 1st from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Adoption fees for kittens are $25, and through the Better Together program, adopters can also bring home a cage mate or litter mate for free.
The reduced fee applies to all kittens one year or younger (with some exclusions) and is valid all weekend long at both locations. All kittens available for adoption are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
APL encourages applying before the event at apl-shelter.org.
