be bold vendor fair

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A women's ministry in Springfield is organizing a vendor fair to highlight local women-owned businesses and nonprofits to kick off women's history month.

The "BE BOLD" vendor fair will feature over 25 women-owned local businesses selling a variety of items.

"We have an incredible number of amazing, talented, local women-owned businesses here in the central Illinois area, and we wanted to provide an affordable way for them to showcase heir talents in the community and come together to support one another and feel loved," said organizer Annie Allen-Jones.

The fair will also feature five non-profit organizations empowering women, girls and their families in the area.

The nonprofits include the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery, Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault, Springfield Urban League, and Wooden It Be Lovely.

"It makes my heart sing to see the enthusiasm for using Peace's building to showcase women-owned businesses, along with nonprofits that assist women and their families. I am looking forward to meeting vendors and leaders who build up the Springfield community," said pastor of Peace Lutheran Church Reverend Darla Ann Kratzer.

The vendor fair is being organized by Women of Peace, a new women's ministry that Peace Lutheran Church launched in November 2025.

The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, at Peace Lutheran Church.

A list of participating vendors and more information can be found on the "BE BOLD" Vendor Fair event page on Facebook.
