SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — An over 90-year-old bar just south of Springfield caught fire Friday morning.

According to Springfield Fire Fighters Local 37, crews responded to a fire at the Curve Inn around 9 a.m.

Photos show the front left end of the bar fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters gave an update just before 9:30 a.m. saying the roof of the bar is partially collapsed.

The department said the fire was considered under control just after 10 a.m.

The Curve Inn said in a Facebook post that nobody was hurt.

The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire are unclear.

The Curve Inn is a longstanding bar located in Southern View, a village on the south side of Springfield. The bar building was built in 1932, according to the business' website.
