DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Phillip Cole Ministries will hold a Praise-A-Thon community fundraiser this weekend to save the Elim House soup kitchen from closure.
The fundraiser will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 26 in the parking lot at 198 E. Eldorado St. in Decatur.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, and can enjoy free food and music.
The event is aiming to raise money for the Elim House to put a new roof on the building, air conditioning and additional funds to keep it going for years to come.
