SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A motorcycle ride in honor of veterans was held in Springfield Sunday. 

The Staab family hosted its 12th annual "Ride in Honor" motorcycle ride, visiting area veterans memorials. 

Riders led by members of Lincoln Land A.B.A.T.E. made stops at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Veterans Memorial, Heart of War Plaza at Oak Ridge Cemetery, and New Berlin Area Veterans Memorial, placing a wreath at each location. 

An end-of-ride celebration was be held at VFW Post 755, 2211 Old Jacksonville Rd. in Springfield. The cost was $15 per motorcycle rider. Cars, trucks, and Jeeps are welcome. Co-riders were $5. 

Donations benefit Spring Street Veterans Renaissance in Springfield, a transitional housing program for veterans who are homeless and/or disabled.
