Sangamon County Fair kicks off June 10

SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - The Sangamon County Fair kicks off June 10.

The fair will run through June 14 and will include grandstand events, carnival rides, livestock shows, and more.

The Miss Sangamon County Fair Queen Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. June 10.

The Grandstand lineup is as follows:

7 p.m. Friday, June 12 - Scotty McCreery and Josh Turner (tickets go up $10 the day of the event)
7 p.m. Saturday, June 13 - Sangamon County Fair Rodeo by Rogue Rodeo
5 p.m. Sunday, June 14 - Demolition Derby by Track Shot Promotions

Other events include:

2 p.m. Thursday, June 11 - Free ice cream social with music by Capital Area Big Band
Friday and Saturday, June 12-13 - State-qualifying Lego competition
Noon Saturday, June 13 - Talent Show
8 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 14 - Third Annual Car Show

Gate admission is $5 (children 4 and under are free).
