Sherman issues burn ban

SHERMAN, Ill. (WAND) - Sherman is under a burn ban Tuesday.

The Sherman Fire Protection District issued the ban for the district boundaries until further notice.

The ban is the result of the ongoing drought like conditions. Any fires during this time can spread quickly and become out of control.

The burn ban does not apply to charcoal or gas grills used for cooking, but extra precautions should be taken.
