CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Sholem Aquatic Center has received recognition for its exemplary lifeguard staff, achieving top scores in three audits conducted by Ellis & Associates.
During the 2025 season, two of those audits received perfect scores.
Lifeguard Emily Pitcher was awarded the Golden Guard Award for consistently exceeding the 10/20 Protection scanning standards, demonstrating professionalism and readiness.
This prestigious award is given to a select few lifeguards from the thousands audited each year.
