SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - UGLY Restaurant & Bar in Springfield announced it is shutting its doors. 

The restaurant posted to Facebook that it will be permanently closing after almost three years in business. 

The last day of business will be March 31. 
 
"Thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity and I hope you understand," the owner posted on social media. 

The business asks that gift cards be used up prior to closing.
