Warrensburg water main break

Residents across Warrensburg are being warned of a village-wide water shutdown and boil order following a water main issue Tuesday.

WARRENSBURG, Ill. (WAND) — Residents across Warrensburg are under a boil order after a village-wide water shutdown following a water main issue Tuesday.

According to the Warrensburg Fire Chief, a water main break near West Street and Henson has forced officials to shut off water to the entire village to complete emergency repairs. Water has been turned back on and the main break has been fixed, but a boil order is now in place.

Residents are advised to boil tap water for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth once service is restored until the boil order is lifted.
