DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — An argument between two Decatur Moves riders led to a shooting at one of its vans Friday night.

The shooting happened on Feb. 6 near the intersection of North Portage Place and East Mound Road in Decatur.

According to Decatur Public Transit, a Decatur Moves vehicle was shot at shortly after dropping off two passengers.

A sworn statement said that Javonta Donley and Devon Garrison were getting a ride through the Decatur Moves program.

An investigation revealed that both men began arguing as Donley got out of the van.

Police said Donley then shot at Garrison, who then shot back.

Donley and Garrison ran from the scene but were later taken into custody. They were also both shot, and their condition is unclear.

The driver and a woman still inside the vehicle at the time were not hurt.

Court records stated that Donley and Garrison were denied pre-trial release and will return to court for a preliminary hearing Feb. 18.
