VANDALIA, Ill. (WAND) - A man charged with the murder of a 14-year-old Illinois girl in November 2025 appeared in court Tuesday.

The court found Arnold Rivera is fit to stand trial during a fitness hearing.

WAND News partner KSDK reported in November that 14-year-old Kylie Toberman was reported missing in November, only to later be found dead.

Rivera was charged with first-degree murder, one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault and concealing a homicidal death.

Court records said that Rivera's jury trial is scheduled for April.
