MOWEAQUA, Ill. (WAND) — "Agriculture keeps the world going around," said Adyson Lowrance, a Junior at Central A&M High School and Officer for the FFA Chapter.
The National Organization has nestled itself into many nooks and crannies across the country. Central A&M High School in Moweaqua has grown its chapter to 70 members.Â
"Out here, we come from a place that has fields and animals everywhere!" added Myleigh Sieben, Senior and President of the FFA Chapter.

Both Sieben and Lowrance have been active members of FFA, and took the time to plan daily activities to celebrate the national week.Â
With a smile, Sieben shared, "We're doing a petting zoo, we're doing community service, we're doing breakfast for the whole community..."
The two girls are part of Central A&M's team of roughly 70 chapter members. Each day, through classes and afterschool activities, the program is bridging the gap between agricultural experiences and high school education.
"You meet so many different people that can give you different job opportunities!" shared Sieben, who found her future career path in Agricultural Education through FFA.Â
Lowrance said the same. "I want to go to a university and study animal science and then eventually get into a Vet program."
As the chapter continues to celebrate their experiences and leadership opportunities this week, the girls share how lucky they feel to be jumpstarting their ag careers at a young age.Â
"It shines a light on younger people that are looking for job opportunities, as well as people that already have those positions that we look up too. That's what we want to be eventually," said Lowrance, with a smile.
