VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) — A major crash shut down a portion of U.S. Route 150 in Vermilion County, just west of Danville.

Illinois State Police closed the road to traffic in both directions early Friday morning. Westbound traffic was diverted at Henning Road while Eastbound traffic had to get on I-74.Â
A viewer sent in photos and video of the emergency response Friday morning. The images showed numerous police and emergency vehicles lined up on Route 150.
ISP told WAND News that a wrong-way driver was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes around 1:30 a.m. when their Chevrolet Equinox crashed into another vehicle head-on. The second driver was killed at the scene, and the wrong-way driver was airlifted to a local hospital.
State police did not say whether the driver was facing charges or a citation.
Friday afternoon, the Vermilion County Coroner identified the man killed in the crash as 60-year-old Robert J. Wilson.
