SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A 14-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a vehicle while bike riding in Springfield.Â
The crash happened at the intersection of East Cook St. and Eastdale Ave. Monday night.Â
The child who was from Springfield was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m. shortly after arriving at the hospital.Â
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.Â
The child's name has not been released at this time.Â
The incident is still under police investigation.Â
