BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) - A Normal man who was murdered in Bloomington was stabbed multiple times in chest, police said. 

Bloomington Police were called to the 300 block of Kenmore, just east of the Southgate Estates Trailer Park, on Saturday at 10:10 p.m. 

They found 19-year-old Nicholas M. Zapata on the ground with multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. 

At 11:47 p.m., deputies from McLean County Sheriff's Office and Bloomington Police officers responded to a rural address in Heyworth where a 16-year-old male suspect was taken into custody. 

He was taken to the police department for questioning before being taken to the McLean County Juvenile Detention Center. 

Charges have not yet been released.
