3 people hurt after a shooting on Decatur's west side

We are learning new details after a shooting in Decatur Saturday night.

Decatur Police said, 3 people were hurt after shots were fired at a venue near Leafland Ave. and University Ave.

All three people were taken to the hospital, one was transported by ambulance.

Police said, despite 50 people at the location, witnesses were not cooperative with police.

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -- Decatur police are investigating a Saturday evening shooting.

Police were called to the area near University Avenue and Leafland Avenue just after 6 p.m. Saturday.

Decatur police told WAND News they were called to the area for shots fired. They did not confirm if there were any injuries or any arrests.

Our crew on scene saw police put up crime scene tape around a building and talking to witnesses.
