(WAND) - Some central Illinois communities woke up with a light blanket of snow Thursday morning.Â
The snow accumulation was not impressive as those isolated communities received anywhere from a dusting to ½ an inch.Â
Thursday morning also saw temperatures starting off in the mid-twenties, however, temperatures are expected to drop off throughout the day until we see a low in the single digits tonight.
Â
While this is a setback on the temperature board, it is only temporary.Â
Sunshine and southerly winds are contributing factors to an overall warming trend that is expected over the next week or so.Â
