An amber alert has been issued for two boys from Leroy in McLean County.
The McLean County Sheriff's Office says nine year old Duncan Connolly and seven year old Jack Connolly were taken by their father, 40 year old Michael Connolly. Their mother says Connolly was scheduled to drop the boys off at the Leroy Police Department on Sunday, but never showed up.
Duncan has brown hair and brown eyes, is three foot six and weighs 66 pounds. He was wearing a green coat.
Jack is three foot four, 62 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a red and blue coat.
Their father, Michael Connolly is five foot eight, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was driving a gray Dodge Dynasty with license plate A-3-2-6-1-0-9.
The Leroy Police Chief says he considers the boys' disappearance a criminal investigation.
